Dropped today, Ready To Shine, is a teaser from Young Galaxy’s third-upcoming album Falsework, to be released on Oct. 30th. Available to buy on Friday, the single features a different take on their synth-pop laced in a small bit of sadness, as we’ve been hearing with their past releases off the new album. Falsework features more danceable beats paired with lush electronics that have been showcasing the Montreal band’s new direction. Their past albums, Shapeshifting (2011) and Ultramarine (2013) have been great steppingstones to perfecting how to take what was good from the ’80s and make them modern. Now, transcending their sound forward, Young Galaxy’s have taken their retro sound and used it to sound years ahead of their time.
