“It took a minute, but I promise we were always coming,” James Bay told the crowd of his sold-out Toronto show.
Beginning his set off with the title track of his latest album, Pink Lemonade, the singer-songwriter powered through some crowd favourites before switching to a slower intimate set. With Bay dressed in black and minimal lights, the set focused on the powerful vocals and emotion invoking songs. The audience listened to in silence, mouthing along to lyrics. Bay roamed around the stage sporting his new look of shorter hair and lack of his trademark hat though proved looks may change but his talent stays the same.
